Rooted in Belmore: The Story behind Son Of An Immigrant

The journey of Son Of An Immigrant is etched in the very fabric of my being – a narrative that's as authentic and heartfelt as it gets. I'm Nathan Dagher, the driving force behind this brand, and I'll take you on an honest ride through the roots that define us.

It all starts with my father's story, the true backbone of our tale. The Lebanese Civil War thrust him into immigrating to Australia, leaving his life behind to seek refuge in Australia. At just nine years old, that checkpoint encounter was etched in his soul – a harrowing reminder of the sacrifices made.

Growing up in Sydney, I found a love for streetwear. Yet, as I immersed myself in the fashion scene, I couldn't help but notice the absence of Arabic representation. That void resonated deep within me, igniting a fire to fill it.

That's when Son Of An Immigrant took shape – a vision to embrace our Middle Eastern culture and uplift immigrants worldwide. But don't be fooled; this wasn't some glitzy overnight success. It was a raw, relentless grind, and I had my crew of family and close friends right by my side.

Our goal isn't global domination; we're here to build a family, a community where every voice matters. It's about collaboration, artistry, and giving artists the platform they deserve to share their stories and perspectives.

The struggle for quality is as real as it gets. But I'm hands-on, ensuring every stitch reflects the soul of our brand and the confidence we aim to instil.

Son Of An Immigrant isn't just fashion – our soul, heritage, and journey. From the heart of Belmore to the world, we stand tall, proud of our roots, and unapologetically ourselves.

You'll find us at a local Lebanese bakery as we launch our story into the world – where our dream was born and where we share the heart of our culture with the world.

This is my story, our story – an honest, unfiltered expression of what it means to be an immigrant, to celebrate our identity. Son Of An Immigrant is my passion, my truth, and my way of leaving a legacy that goes beyond the threads
